The heat here is difficult for everyone to bear with. Different animals have different methods of coping with it, sitting in muddy holes is probably not the worst of them.

Actually they most like sand into which they can dig holes… So cooling.

This afternoon when I went to the juicevala to have two glasses of Mosambijuice I suddenly heard a silent cheeping sound. Trying to find out where that comes from I saw that the juicevala was standing with one foot on a baby bat which must have fallen from the tree und which the juicevala had his car! Well, after we had inspected it a bit and documented the incident he put it onto the tree where it slowly climbed up again.
